Youth Job Resources

There are many employment supports for youth from the government and agencies that we list below. Many students find employment babysitting, in the food industry, at amusement parks and summer camps, so you might want to look at online job listings with specific organizations you’d like to work for as well.

Note that the search for summer jobs begins earlier than you might think, usually around January for most jobs and around November for summer camp jobs.

Ontario Camps Association Job Postings

Jobs at summer camps in Ontario. Choose Applications from the Job menu to use the OCA Postings service which matches up people looking for summer camp work with the directors of nearly 300 member camps. 

Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program

OYAP helps teens (entering Grade 11 and at least 16 years old) obtain placements in 130 skilled trades that can be learned through apprenticeship training while still in school.

The aim of the Youth in Policing Initiative is to promote youth participation in and exposure to the work environment through diverse, educational, and productive work assignments. This employment initiative focuses on diverse youth between the ages of 15 and 18 years, who reside in our priority identified neighbourhoods within the City of Toronto.
