Understanding of Diversity and Equality

I have been working with VWAT since 2018. They have assisted me in many different matters such as income tax preparation, inviting me to the newcomers' workshops, PR & Citizenship applications. One of the things that impressed me the most is that they opened their doors to me and patiently gave their best service over the years even though I'm neither a Vietnamese nor a woman. I would like to thank the VWAT family for always working patiently and meticulously, for having an understanding of diversity and equality, for their sincerity and for being LGBTQ+ friendly.

Approachable and accomodating

I assist tenants to maintain their Rent Geared to Income housing, which often involves providing support to get income tax returns filed. Clients living in subsidized housing are now required to submit their most recent Notice of Assessment, regardless of their income, in order to keep their RGI subsidy. Thuy and the VWAT Centre has helped many of my clients to file their taxes. Thuy is fast, approachable, and easy to work with. She will accommodate clients that are unable to travel to the centre by either filing taxes over the phone or completing them by email. Her flexibility has helped many clients of mine with maintaining their RGI subsidy. The knowledge and expertise Thuy has about the CRA and filing taxes is invaluable. Thuy has made my job so much easier, and I am very thankful for her work at the VWAT Centre.

Đây là một nơi cực kỳ hữu ích giúp đỡ cho những người mới đến để nhanh chóng hoà nhập với cộng đồng lớn sinh sống và làm việc ở Canada. Hơn thế nữa nơi đây cũng là nơi là đầu mối cho các cá nhân muốn giúp đỡ chia sẽ với công đồng tìm đến để kết nối mở rộng vòng tay hữu ái. Cô Tô Thanh Hiếu, cô Cừ Nhựt Sương và các bạn tình nguyện viên trong VWAT là những nhân tố tích cực năng động hoạt động trong VWAT. Serene and wonderful space

My name is June Tenzin a newcomer to Canada, I am very fortunate to receive the services at the VWAT at the most difficult moment of my life. Especially to honoured Thuy Nguen, the Program Coordinator, she is a true heart of the VWAT. I am personally grateful to her from the bottom of my heart. Her professionalism, tremendous care, intelligence and knowledge are highly appreciated. She is helped me in every possible way, as well she kindly shared with me her feelings of how to overcome difficulties. I was able to see my troubles from a positive approach and deal with the situation without much anxiety. She helped me with the Government requirements without her high intelligence and perseverance, I would be not able to understand all errors that had been made during the entire process. The atmosphere is in the VWAT serene and wonderful, it is the safest place to received not only newcomers' services, but every possible help, it is happily offered to those who are in need. I am wishing to Thuy all beauty of the world for her kindness and humanity! May the VWAT be successful in every aspect to care for those who are in need and on the path settling in a new country.
