On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the journey to freedom by Vietnamese refugees from communism (1975–2025), the association, in collaboration with the Viet Hung Movement in the United States (https://viethung.org/), will release a commemorative coin.
This coin is named: Liberty Coin – Monnaie de la Liberté.
This Souvenir Currency marks 50 years of exile for Vietnamese refugees.
Half a century has passed since we left our homeland to settle in completely foreign lands. Looking back over these 50 years, we reflect on a difficult journey filled with challenges, sacrifices, and losses. Yet, we have overcome immense suffering to rebuild our lives and thrive in a new country. The achievements that we and our descendants have contributed to society stand as a heartfelt tribute to the nations that have extended their humanitarian support to us and future generations. It is a source of pride, honor, and gratitude that we carry with us today.
The Liberty Coins are crafted using modern technology developed by the Royal Canadian Mint, a factory approved by the International Mint Directors’ Network (IMDN). The Royal Canadian Mint is globally recognized as a leading producer of circulating metal coins, souvenir coins, and investment coins made from precious metals like gold, silver, and platinum. These coins are used in over 100 countries worldwide.
A unique aspect of the Liberty Coin is that it was designed by Vietnamese refugee engineers and produced at one of the most prestigious and trusted mints in the United States.
