A beloved event for youth is back!

Across U-hub has hosted the annual outdoor event City Mosaic (CM) since 2005. VWAT Family Services has been a community partner for many years.

This is a cultural exploration program in the GTA that encourages young people to step out of their comfort zones, enjoy the richness of multiculturism and foster their sense of belonging.

With the theme in this year’s City Mosaic: Stories in the City, participants will be going on a guided cultural exploration in the City of Markham on FOOT and/or CYCLING. Participants will explore different “story spots” with our ambassadors providing historical and cultural context at each spot.

IMPORTANT:

  • We are looking to make teams of 4 or 2.

VWAT will help cover cost of registration. Each youth will only have to pay $10 and will receive a free t-shirt and refreshments. If this is still too much, please let me know.

  • Ideally, you have your teams already decided but if not, I’ll do my best to match you up!
  • Also, let me know if you would like to explore on FOOT or BIKE.
  • Please let me know by May 15th if you would like to participate.
