We've been helping family for four decades get integrated into Canadian society.
Founded in 1982, the Vietnamese Women's Association of Toronto (VWAT), now operating as VWAT Family Services, was originally created to address the needs of Vietnamese women experiencing domestic violence who, due to the language barrier, were not able to access support and resources.
Today, VWAT has evolved into a multi-cultural, and sustainable centre for newcomers, their families, seniors and youth. For the past 40 years, VWAT has been playing an important role in integrating refugee and immigrant families into Canadian society.
To reflect the cultural diversity of Canada, our mandate is to address the needs of newcomers from all cultural and social backgrounds. Our goal is not only to aid adaptation, but also to create a sense of belonging for our clients who are starting their life in a new country.
We've been helping family for four decades get integrated into Canadian society.
